The measurement technology company Mitta acquires PRiMAB, the agreement was signed on 1 February. Mitta was founded in Oulu in 1989 and is one of the largest measurement technology companies in the Nordic region with almost 500 employees distributed in more than 30 locations in Sweden and Finland. Mitta’s strategy is to grow both organically and through acquisitions in the technology areas in which it operates:
- Measurement technology – from traditional land surveying and echo sounding to laser scanning and specialized drone services.
- Geotechnology – Mitta has access to some 40 drilling rigs and experienced operators who can perform a wide range of assignments.
- Laboratories – Mitta has geotechnical laboratories in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Luleå that work closely with our geotechnical experts. Mitta also has mobile field laboratories that work on customer sites in longer projects.
- Environmental technology – for example monitoring of environmental parameters with autonomous measuring stations and specialist knowledge in contaminated soil and water conservation. The measuring stations monitors flow, water quality and dam safety in many locations in the Nordic countries, the Baltic States and Russia.
